Dr. Schoenberger completed his undergraduate degree at Tulane University in New Orleans, graduating with honors. He attended medical school at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, also graduating with honors. He then underwent General Surgery training at St. Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey before returning to New Orleans to complete a Urology residency at The Tulane University School of Medicine. Following his residency, Dr. Schoenberger also completed a fellowship in Urologic Oncology at Tulane School of Medicine as well. He then joined the faculty of the Department of Urology at Tulane School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor for three years before coming to New London, CT. He has been in the private practice of urology in New London since 1986. He currently is an attending surgeon at The Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London, CT and at Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT. He is the Chief of Urology at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital. He has also served as a consultant to the healthcare industry including Pfizer Pharmaceuticals as well. Dr. Schoenberger has a special interest in urologic cancer treatment, medical and surgical treatment of stone disease, minimally invasive surgery, medical and surgical treatment of erectile dysfunction and sexual dysfunction, and alternative medical therapy including accupuncture for which he has undergone training as well. Dr. Schoenberger is board certified by the American Board of Urology, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Urological Association (AUA), and the Society of University Urologists.

Anthony D. Quinn, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Quinn earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan
State University, graduating magna cum laude. He then attended
medical school at The Uniformed Services University of the
Health Sciences graduating in 1983. Dr. Quinn then completed
a surgical internship and Urology Residency at Naval Hospital,
Oakland CA. Moving to Connecticut, he served at Naval Hospital
Groton from 1988 to 1995. Upon completing his service obligation,
he began private practice in New London in 1995. He currently
has privileges at Lawrence & Memorial and Backus Hospitals.
Well versed in all aspects of Urology, Dr. Quinn has special
interests in brachytherapy, (seed implantation) of prostate
cancer, vasectomy reversals, shock-wave lithotripsy of kidney
stones, and trans-urethral needle ablation of the prostate,
(TUNA.) Dr. Quinn is Board Certified by the American Board
of Urology and is also
a member the American Urological Association and is a Fellow
of the American College of Surgeons.

Charles J. Viviano, M.D., PhD.

Residency: University of Connecticut
Special Interests: General urology with emphases in laparoscopy, endourology and infertility.
Dr. Viviano earned his undergraduate degree from Fairfield University, graduating cum laude. He went on to receive his PhD. in Toxicology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He attended medical school at the University of Connecticut graduating in May, 2000. He also did his surgical internship and urology residency at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Viviano began private practice in 2006. He currently has privileges at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital. Special interests include emphases in laparoscopy, endourology and infertility. Dr. Viviano gained proficiency in several newer urologic procedures including hand-assisted laparoscopic nephrectomy, TVT-O, and Interstim neural stimulator implantation for urinary frequency, as well as general laparoscopy and experience with the DaVinci robot for prostatectomy. Dr. Viviano is also a member of the New England Section of the AUA.

Richard A. Fraser, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Special Interest: Kidney stones, Green Light Laser Photovaporizaton of the Prostate, Pediatric Urology, Interstitial Cystitis, Urinary infections
Dr. Fraser received a Bachelor of Arts from American International College in 1965. He then attended St. Louis University and received a Doctorate of Medicine in 1969. He spent two years in surgical residency at the Medical University of South Carolina and finished his 3 years of surgical training in urology at the Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minnesota, graduating in 1974. He was Chief of Urology at Munson Army Hospital in FT Leavenworth, Kansas for the next two years. He entered private practice in urology in 1976 in New London, CT, and has been on the active staff at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital since then. He has been a consultant to the U. S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Naval Hospital in Groton, CT. Dr. Fraser has served the Lawrence & Memorial Hospital as the Chief of Urology, President of the Medical Staff and as a director on the hospital Board for 10 years. Dr. Fraser has special interest in prostate diseases, kidney stones, pediatric urology and urinary infections. He is Board Certified in Urology and is a member of the American Urologic Association, The American College of Surgeons and the Yale Society of Genitourinary Surgeons.
